Far too numerous to count are notebooks built with badly designed and/or soldered connectors for power; I know I've taken a few to a local repair guy to have new connectors put in.
The Sager/Clevo looks like a pretty solid connector, but I thought I'd just ask .. any known issues with it getting weak over time.. should we new owners be gentle with unplugging and replugging every day, or is it a pretty solid connector?
So far it seems like the machine is built like a tank, but I always worry over the hinges and the power connector![]()

Slick, thanks for the vote. Back to manhandling my notebook!
(Obviously the best approach would be to have electricity transmitted through the air in a giant arc, but I digress.)

I'll add that I unplug my AC connector every night when I turn off my notebook, and so far (after a year) I have no problems.

Great, thanks; that was exactly my concern -- unplugging every night and leaning the machine up on its end beside the couch. Seems a lot of the lower end machines are designed to be plugged and left.. fiddling every day is guaranteed to break it off the motherboard.

How solid is the AC connector?
