I need a laptop can handle the demanding games, now, I got really confusing, I need play battlefiled 3 on nealy ultra setting, dirt 3 and so on,
I was looking the p180hm 6990 CF, M18x 580sli,It seems p180hm a little bit of ugly, m18x price is too high, buding 580 sli on 180hm is not possible.
What is the clevo built quility and capatability campare to alienware, it seems p180hm is much more weaker than the m18x,how can I make a chioce?I was lookking at the price at 2000-3000 dollars.

Dollar for dollar the 6990m is the best card out there. So CF them and it's a pretty good combo. True the 580m SLI is not included but it comes with a hefty price tag.

As far as the p180 being ugly that's a matter of opinion, they look pretty sexy to me. The build quality on Clevos is very good, compared to Alienware even.

Price out a Clevo and post the specs here so we can see exactly what it is you want.

You might want to check out some reviews and Youtube videos covering the P180HM 18" and the X7200 17" as those are the two Clevo boxes that currently support dual-video configurations.

I know you've been mentioning 18.4" screens, if you can go to 17.3" check out the Sager NP7282 which can do 6990M in CF. It will be within your price point and the big advantage is it uses a true desktop cpu instead of a mobile one.

for some reason I dont like desktop cpus in notebooks, makes me think that you would be missing all the mobile cpu designs :) .If you are looking at just sli/cf and money is not a concern, def go for the alienware 18x looks much better than sager 18x :)

I was thinking of Alienware before until I read more about them and saw many youtube vids on them. I do not like how the keyboard is flexy in the middle, shows lack of quality I think. They are expensive but yet has the worst customer service complains among all the other companies, am I not right about this? I doubt I will call in much but I was thinking that their CSR department would be among the best as compared to Clevo resellers who from reading through the forums are very friendly and helpful. Do remember that Alienware used to use Clevo before Dell bought them, that will mean their reputation was build by Clevo and not Dell. Am I correct on this?

From the above, wont that mean that you are paying more on an Alienware for terrible CSR (lots of complains from Dell), flexy keyboard, and also a Dell computer actually. Quite a lot of youtube video showed problems upon arrival like bad build quality and certain functions malfunctioning, I mean if you paid for a Ferrari and it came with a flat tire you won't be very pleased will you now. If the history lesson is true and that they used to use Clevo barebones, then my conclusion that Clevo is the better choice is well warranted.

Oh and I dont care about those fancy lighting, it doesnt really attract the ladies IMO and I am more concern about the rig being a weapon of massive destruction and not a toy. I used to like Alienware and was super serious into getting one until I started to do more research.

Ok one more thing I noticed. If you read a ton of NRB threads you started noticing that most gosu notebook pros have a Clevo, or am I wrong? It is like they all ended with a Clevo eventually after many years of experience so why take the long route while you can take the shorter route and learn from their extensive experience.

Hmmm, or maybe I am wrong since I did spend a lot of time on the Clevo/Sager forum and thus everyone here owns a Clevo lol. Well but initially I was in the Asus G-series forum and was lead here when KingpinZero turned in his Asus G53 for a Clevo. It sparked my curiosity what is this Clevo thing I never heard about nor even see in top10 gaming laptops on Google. Came here and was never disappointed, seems like all complains here are rather trivial and are all solved on the spot by some gosu reseller. Havent bought my clevo yet though, I am still researching lol.

It seems the price for clevo is higher in au, while AW price is similar to US.
I checked the Clevo guide 2.0, only found affordable laptop offer 6990CF with other parts customizable, starts at A$ 2378 = US$ 2435, which is about $300 more than it in US.
So AW might be a good choice in au.
