I bought my laptop (Sager 5760) about a year ago. When I first received the laptop, it was running very hot esp the front edge under the touch pad. So i contacted sager and they gladly replaced the TV card, and bluetooth. It seemed to fix have fixed the problem. While I was in school away the problem seemed to have come back. It got worse and worse until about a month ago when the wireless would keep dying out after about an hour of use. Note that i was using this laptop on a hard metal surface. The only way to remedy this issue is to prop up the front edge. So i again contacted sager laptops and the asked me to send it in for repair. I finally got my laptop back last week. They said the wireless card and touch pad controller were replaced. Also note that i had sent it in battery with the laptop but it never came back and they claim they have sent it back.

As I was running through my usual rigerous tests to make sure everything was working. I noticed that the 1.3M Camera was not working. My Devices manager in windows did not find any hardware. I installed the software that came with the computer and it would complain to tell me to hit fn+f10 to turn on the camera. But the camera was indeed on, as noted in on the front bezel screen. I released the keyboard made sure that they did not forget to connect the cable. And it was indeed connected.

Now that i have spent my whole weekend trying to figure this out. I am extremely fustrated.

My question is to see if people have an ideas on how to deal with sager. I do not wish to send it back in again, because i actually need this laptop for work. And i do not have another computer. Is there any way i can somehow return this for a replacement. Because as we speak my warranty is almost up; in about 3 days. If i sent it back in for repair again, god knows what will come back broken next!!!! Should i contact the BBB? SO MAD right now!!!

I heard from some people that sager has some bad customer service.

that's why a lot of people order from resellers like powernotebooks and xoticpc.com

this post is kinda pointless now since it is irrelevant but back on-topic.

you better call them quick and get things straightened out. I would suggest a replacement.

There's no way you can return it for a replacement as far as I know . . . if Sager can fix your existing machine they will.

I know this isn't what you wanted to hear but it sounds like you are going to have to send it back in. Sager is doing all they can for you, no offense.

Who is your reseller? Have you called their tech support?

The way to deal with these things is NOT to get angry, or threaten BBB (that takes way too long) when you can simply call tech support to get help. They can probably walk you through to a fix...but unless you call how will you know?

Yeah i bought it it discountlaptops.com, they said call sager because since it was working before and after their repairs its no longer working they should fix it for you.

Ok so i called they and they were like oh call us back later we are busy.....

I wouldnt be mad if they would be more careful with high end laptops in repair. I mean dont they run through a test to make sure everything is working after they fixed something b4 they rush to send it out again.

What is even more fustrating is that i never got my battery back...even though they claim it was in the box. They were telling me how it would be different weight and stuff. What kinda bs is that?

To further show they were not careful is that, the rubber cover over the express card slot was also missing when i got it back. Since i dont use the express card slot very often i like to keep it covered to keep dust out.

Further more, after i sent in my laptop, i told them to call me back before it was shipped out so i can speak to the tech and make sure they fixed the right thing. But guess what? I never got a call back, i had to call them back only to find out that it was already shipped out.

I wish they would just give me a replacement laptop to use at least for now, while it is in service, and way to have them ship it out via ground, from cali for mass.

um so who is sager afraid of? I need to put more pressure on them to get the job done. You'd figure a $2500 laptop should hold up for more than a year... Hell i mean i baby this thing so much. Its still in exellent condi.

Good news people! Sager resolved my issues and they agreed to fixed very thing and even extended my warranty!!! At no cost to me with 2 day shipping back and forth. David at sager was amazingly helpful after I contacted discountlaptops. So in the end I am really happy about how this was resolved! So for any one in doubt about sager quality...doubt no more!!
