    Hello,

I have a back screen when I start my Clevo P151SM.

When I remove the Nvidia 870m, the laptop boots and the Intel GPU displays correctly and start Windows.

The problem is that fan turns at high speed and the mobo is beeping after few seconds (even when I start in the firmware/bios). After few bips, the laptop automatically turns off.

Is there a way to disable the fan/temperature control with a modded bios ?

Thanks in advance for any advice !

Could be the card is actually overheating or something else is wrong with it too. Did you make sure it's properly seated and the thermal compound was evenly applied?

I have no other laptop to test it, but yes, I removed it and replugged it several times without success.
The laptop is at my work, I have no history of it.

My concern is about the capability to use intel GPU, I would like to use it for VMs and work, not for gaming purpose.

If it's not possible to switch on intel GPU, I could maybe try a reflow of the graphic card (but I prefer to avoid that), the black screen at start is a symptom I already fixed on other laptop (with integrated GPU chip soldered on the mobo) with a reflow.

When you removed the GPU did you reconnect the GPU fan?

The stock BIOS doesn't support running off of the iGPU standalone. That's normal EC firmware behavior. You would need a modded BIOS that supports removing the GPU.

You could try removing the Vbios chip on the broken card.

Thank you for this info (and all your answers).

Any idea where to find a modded bios compatible with my device ?

Your reseller might supply it by special request. Otherwise you'll have to see if a private party has it and can share.
