Hey guys,
I found a really cheap place where they sell Nvidia cards in Germany, problem is, when I tell them that I want it for a p170em they redirect me to the old cards (e.g. 680m). It seems this sells team is not aware that p170em can be upgraded, or maybe they don't want to recommend an unofficial upgrade...
So, how do I rephrase this question to make sure the card fits my computer?

some resellers are selling 980m/970m with prema mod vbios and bios

Does the site say the cards are specifically for Clevo computers, or any other information about them? I believe you want to find ones that are designed for Clevo and not other manufacturers. Do you have a link for that? It might be helpful to see the actual page.

You can grab the prema system bios at PremaMod.Com.
You want all the parts for a p150sm-a. -
- A Clevo VGA with stock vBIOS for P170SM-A or with vBIOS from Prema
- Clevo P170SM-A with Prema bios.
Be aware that your notebook officially does not support those cards so with every drivers update you will have to manually modify drivers. You can contact us for more details via PM or e-mail.eriannmx likes this. -

Yes, please do keep us posted on whether you try the upgrade and how it treats you.
How to know if 970m/980m are compatible with p170em?
