    Greetings,

I have owned a P170hm with a Radeon 6990 for over a year and then my videocard died.

I just purchased a GTX 675M online over ebay from upgrademoney, which advertised the card as compatible with my P170hm. After I installed the card (and things booted perfectly) I went to install the heatsink only to discover the old 6990 heatsink does not fit onto the 675m. This is my fault for not doing enough research before my purchase I realize.

But the issue I am now having is trying to find a heatsink for my new GTX 675m. There doesn't seem to be anything on ebay, or anywhere on the web for that matter. Is it possible that this card is not supported by my laptop model meaning there isn't a heatsink for it? I have tried contacting upgrademonkey (who sold me the card), pro-star (who assembled the custom clevo barebones laptop), and clevo but to no avail.

Should I start looking at finding another videocard+heatsink and putting my 675m up for sale?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

GTX675M is supported by P170HM for sure.

I am sure you can order the heatsink alone from R&J Tech.

    Thanks for responding.

Does anyone happen to know if the GTX 580m is essentially the same card as the GTX 675m? I have read something along these lines (and R&J have 580m cards in stock) but I want to be sure before I ask them for a 580m heatsink.
