    Hey,

I have a 2014 Sager NP8651 and I'm not sure how to remove the heatsink to get to the CPU on it. I've removed everything and I am currently on the inside of it. I've removed the screws to the fans and heatsink but now don't want to take a chance on removing the thing without breaking anything. I can't find any video online or any manual/diagram to achieve this, if anyone can help me out...much appreciated! I've removed everything and I am currently on the inside of it.

(The laptop has always had a problem overheating and eating away at keys (stuck input) on the laptop, so I figured it'd be a good idea to take a look at the paste on it (IC Diamond).)

    Thanks.

Remove the 4 screws around the CPU and then the two holding the CPU fan down. Remove the fan and gently unplug it and if the thermal paste has a lot of suction on the heatsink then lever up from the CPU fan end of it to gently remove it.

Don't forget to plug the fan back in when putting everything back.
