I just received my new Sager 8150-S1 and I have a problem: the plastic screen protector is wrapped under the bezel and above the screen. It looks like someone installed the screen without first removing the plastic protection. The plastic cannot be removed from the outside as it just tears.

Is it easy to remove the screen? Will removing the screen void my warranty?

    Attached is a picture.

Yes, under the rubber feet on the front bezel there are screws. Undo the top two screws and it should be easy to pry open a little.

Also, this won't void your warranty. If you aren't comfortable doing it though, try contacting your reseller for options.

ohh that looks annoying lol. First thing I would do is get a tweezer and try to pull it out (unless you don't have or feel like doing precision hand-eye coordination stuff :p) if that doesn't work then yea take out the screws holding the bezel. lol

    Good Luck

    1. Pry top rubber feet off
    2. Unscrew two screws under them
    3. Separate the front bezel by inserting something like plastic "screwdriver" or a plastic knife in the outside seam and wiggling it.
    4. Pull the bezel away
    5. Remove plastic
    6. Pop the bezel back on
    7. Put screws in
    8. Put rubber feet back in
    9. Grab a bottle of Budlight Lime
    10. Sit and enjoy.

Thank you. I spent a couple hours waiting on tech support and emailing pictures. It took more time to find the rubber foot that was stuck to my elbow than open up the bezel. By the way, for future reference, lift the screen side bezel up as you unsnap the bezel from the backing and you'll need much less force.

As you can see from the bezel scratches in the pic, I tried tweezers. There was no way the plastic was coming out unless I separated the screen from the bezel.
