    its there, you have to:
    - open Volume Control
    - go to Options > Properties
    - check all volume controls in both Playback and Recording
    - then hit OK.

Now you should see the microphone to be able to mute.

    Audizzz,

you have to choose the the Audio Output and Audio Input, under Playback, and enable all volume controls. You should be able to have a mute option.

Yes that was it! thanks its better now.
but I still have noise in the headphones(I did try couple headphones) even when im only in bios I can hear static or something  - dont know what to do .

I dont think that sager can fix that
Question: If I have 2days until 30 days satisfaction warranty is over will I be able to return? and buy new one later on?

    Thanks

Buying a new 5760 will not solve the problem; it's a series-wide issue.

Yes I believe you can still return it if you want but you had better act fast if you only have 2 days left. I don't know how the whole return process works.

You might consider getting an external audio solution; M-Audio has some USB cards that are worth looking at. It's a shame that Creative doesn't have an ExpressCard Audigy 2 otherwise that would have been a nice accessory to pick up.

but if it series-wide issue - why other people who own 5760 doesn't hear this noise.
I have 2 cheap earplugs - no noise, but if I plug in good headphones like KOSS and Sony - I hear noise(static).
and yes there is no noise if I connect external speakers, which is not solution for me because I mostly use headphones.
I did test in quite room.

Chaz - you right ,I called sager couple days ago with noise issue and they call me back today to say that they tested couple 5760 laptops with headphones like I asked them to do - they said they can hear the same static in bios and win xp and its NOT repairable
    - that is mean other people who own 5760
ALSO have the same noise issue.

Thanks for getting that confirmation Audizzz; now we have solid information we can fall back on should this question be asked again.

The previous Sager NP5720 also had issues with the sound, as does my NP5320. It's a shame, really.
