    Hi guys,

i just want to ask experienced users how to change the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU? i've did some researches and found out that the compund 'indigo xtreme' do very well over the stock compounds like 5-6°C cooler than any other good compounds and maybe we can benefit from it?

is there any walktrough or something like that for clevo 150hm and even 170hm?

If your laptop isn't suddenly overheating don't it. If you're gonna do it anyway, all you need is some cotton swabs and strong rubbing alcohol to clean off the current stuff, then follow whatever the indigo extreme manual says, usually you just need a small drop in the center of the processor.

I'm not familiar with that compound, but here's a link to the service manual with the instructions you need to do the change (thanks to Theriko).

    P15xHM_ESM.zip

Arctic Silver 5 and IC Diamond are the commonly recommended compounds.

Indigo extreme is suppose to be the best thermal compound that you can use on a laptop cooling system, at least that is what results show.

In the UK we cannot get hold of it and I am using the next best thing which is PK1 Prolimatech. ICD remains the best I have seen however ease of application and solid temps make it the best choice imo.

The different sockets listed are actually desktop models.

1155/1156 are used for the first/second gen core i so thats going to be the closest to what you have in the notebook.

    1366 socket is for desktop i7 9XX series CPU's

I really wouldnt imagine them being much difference since they are both "Xtreme" unless they made a special formulation for the i7 9XX

first of all for all who are posting please research what indigo extreme is, its sort of a liquid metal in a pouch. that pouch is designed to fit on a specific die, and there is not one that is made for laptops currently.
