I think clevo disables turbo boost when the dgpu is activated. That's how it works on my p151em, anyway. You have to use throttlestop or a similar program to enable turbo when gaming.

It should not be that way, I know that was how it worked on the 11 inch IIRC to save total power but that is very odd.

Turbo boost is enabled from the factory and should function without any options being changed.

3.3ghz will only happen with 1 core. You will see a maximum of 3.1ghz with 4. The 3610QM is locked so you will not get anything higher than that.

Download this TurboBoost Monitor if you want to see how it works. But it works anyway.

R3d, you are wrong. In throttlestop you need to disable BD Prochot if TB is disabled while GPU is working hard.

I think it's just a Clevo thing. Notebookcheck found similar results with the w150er and all the Clevos I've owned (w110er, w350et, p151em) have had turbo disabled while gaming.

How so? Dunno what BD Prochot is, but I just followed Prema's guide and it worked.

Turbo boost will kick in once needed like when you're putting stress on the computer. You can download CPU-Z which will tell you what the clock speed is working at. Once you put a load on the CPU you should see the Turbo boost kick in. A program like Prime95 which stress's the CPU should do it for you.

Yep, just keep an eye on the temps, OP. Turbo Boost is an inherent technology that works on it's own; Throttlestop might help you change some parameters for performance gain, but again, be mindful of your temps.

Also power related so dont expect constant max turbo in prime 95.
