So my new p753dm-gs has arrived and I love it. Except for the flexikey program, that is. There appears to be no instructions and the interface is not very user friendly.

So I wanted to change the colors of the LEDs to the left hand side and middle one color, and the right hand side another color. And I also want to turn off the LED located under the laptop.

I managed to set the keyboard colors the way I want, but I cannot get the bottom LED to turn off. Can someone tell me how to do this? If I click on the spot for the bottom led then click "off" all of the LEDs turn off at the same time.

Have you tried updating Flexikey to see if it might give the option? Otherwise, you might not be able to turn that one off, if I remember correctly

I had difficulty with it too at first. Not sure if it was windows updates or updated software but it seemed to work better the next day. It still didn't seem very intuitive though. I think in the end I had to click once on each section to make it flash or not flash, only then I could change the colors. It was the most difficulty I have had changing backlights (and I have had them all lol).

Just FYI in case you run into it too, I was having weird power issues too related to clock speeds and what power mode windows said I was in. All of that seemed to go away once Windows 10 fully updated. There was a major update/service pack, not sure what they call it now, and that made all those issues I was having disappear.

I am using windows 7, so that probably doesn't affect me.

Still looking for a way to turn off the LED under the computer and leave the keyboard LEDs on. If that one doesn't turn off independently then oh well.

So now flexikey won't even launch and some of the function keys do nothing.

    These function keys do work:

    Disable touchpad
    Turn off monitor
    mute
    Volume up/down
    (Have not tried switch display)
    Display brightness
    Enter sleep mode

These function keys do not work:
    Turn on webcam
    Enter Airplane mode
    Enter flexikey
NONE of the LED function combos do anything.
    Enter Control Center

Anyone else have so much trouble with this? What can I do to fix this? I have restarted and this did nothing.

    Thanks

Have you tried using a different version of the program possibly? Sometimes, that might help.
