How user friendly is the 7970M on Clevo (P170EM) currently?

    As the title says.

I am going to buy a P170EM soon but I am constantly changing my mind if I dare to buy it with 7970M. Only other choice would be 680M - which is ~300eur more. I want to have 680M/7970M in order to have at least some power still after couple years.

I do not really have time to spend on debugging/changing drivers back and forth/reinstalling windows anymore. The time I have I want to dedicate on actual use of the laptop. Therefore I am seeking help from pro's here :)

    1. Is the 7970M ok with some set of release version drivers? From the older games I play only wow (wotlk).

    2. What are the biggest pitfalls with the 7970M currently? Noticed the underutilization thread and latest ATI/Intel drivers?

The 7970M has had most of the previous issues fixed. If you would as hassle free as you can be go with Nvidia.

The drivers have improved quite a bit over a relatively short period of time. But if you can afford the luxury, NVidia will no doubt be a safer bet, both with modern software, as well as future software.
