If you would do a paintjob on the NP2090, how would you do it? Just forget the warranty voiding for a moment :p . Give details!

I'm going to do a banksy style stencil spraypaint on the back of mine (and let it drip down a little), I used to do it all the time for my art course.

Does Laptopdesignusa.com paint something else than the lid? I personally wont paint it on my (hopefully) coming laptop. I'm more interested in painting the palmrest, bezel, etc. as the matte black on the 2090 doesn't look very appealing.

What do you think is more risky? Laser Etching or Painting?

um well it depends on what you would consider risky..

so id say laser etching could be more permanent and gonna be a real pain to remove or redo if you screw up...and unless you have well experienced people do it, chances are you will screw up. I guess you dont really have to worry about anything touching the hardware of your laptop. you probably wouldnt even have to take apart your laptop.

Now painting is less permanent because if you dont like what you have after a few month or weeks you can always just resand it over and paint something else. So actually screwing up the art work isnt that big of a deal...its redoable. But if u want to paint more than just the lid...say palm rest you will probably have to take you laptop apart so the paint doesnt get in, more mask it off really really well.
