How would you rate the longevity of your Sager/Clevo and would you recommend this laptop to an architecture student?

The Sager/Clevo's have been a really reliable brand. I don't see a lot of issues on these machines with quality that is for sure. As long as you get a machine powerful enough to handle CAD and other such architectural programs, the Sager machines will be great for that purpose.

    Thank you for the comment.

I was looking at these computer, they seems like a treasure for gamer due to the highh resolution screen and the strong graphic card. The nice thing though is the graphic is so strong that I could get a first class card at a cheaper price than an HP elitebook, Dell precision or Lenovo W510.

I was looking at either the Sager M8k or M5k, thinking they are both awesome, but not sure if the card is designed for handling those architecture softwares. By the way, how good are they in handling multiple office work? (I assume that these are designed for gamers) I second that these notebooks are built for business but somehow think that they might last long.

I used the sager in my sig for both business and entertainment.
I trade forex, have a livestock farm and a small apartment, and do video editing as a hobby and semiproffesionally for friends.
I use a lot of spreadsheets, word docs, and a bloomberg like screen; sometimes all at once. I also use a slew of video editing programs and often render on the background while doing other stuff.
My only issue was the numpad layout, ut i have since gotten used it.
Im not familiar with the models you mentioned but if their build quality is anything like my 'old' 8690 then you will love them...

If you get a 990x sager with 24gb ram and twin 485ms or 6970, that will definetly suit your CAD needs for at the very least next 5 years.

As well as your gaming needs, and god knows what other need you have ...
