AMD Radeon HD 6990M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor,CLEVO P170HMx score: P15663 3DMarks
This was ran using the latest beta drivers.

Maybe you should overclock the memory? You have a 14,873 GPU score at 800Mhz core and stock memory clock. People are getting close to 16,000:
880 core/1250 memory - P15916
840/1080 - P15866
Funny that I was overclocking and benching my 4870 desktop card today. I got around P10,300 in 3DMark Vantage. How times change...Last edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -
I'll give that a try. I just got the laptop yesterday and spent the greater part of the day downloading and installing loads of stuff.

Ran it again @ 840/1080 and achieved: AMD Radeon HD 6990M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor,CLEVO P170HMx score: P16420 3DMarks
The GPU temp went up to 91 max. -
Clevo P170HM
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2860QM CPU @ 2.50GHz
RAM 16 Gb
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 2Gb DDR5
Win 7 64 Ultimate
All stock !

lol selgot remove physix or your cpu score gets wrong. how are your temps going on?
-
Memory plays a big part in the GPU score on these cards but the higher memory also brings the heat with it. -
It seems my 2720 ES performs slightly better than your 2760 Yiddo
Prob because of the additionnal 2MB cache.
Vantage is sensitive very much to GPU mem clocks, I can tell with the 580M as increasing by 20Mhz gives about +40+50points on Vantage but temps go up therefore.
From 2670qm to 2820qm, there won't be much difference on the global Vantage score as these CPU are very close performance wise.
2860qm and XM gives slightly more boost. -
Keep dreaming son I have just not run benchmarks since I applied all tweaks, core parking and Throttlestop, and the last time I looked they both have the same Cache or is your ES a special version?

Coming from Bristol I can understand why you couldn't afford the actual version of your CPU -
Pref 3DMark
Temp CPU 55-70 GPU Up to 85 -
Do so and rerun dad, can't wait to see your new b3ncH sc0r3s
ES SPecial version of course, I am not paying full price for something I can have much cheaper and performs even/better if you see what I mean...can't waste my money like this.. Life is so expensive nowadays
Was't just tryin to irritate you haha, so don't be upset! All's fair in love and war (not sure that makes much sense in english though)
Selgot,
In Nvidia controls panel, set Processor PhysiX to Autoselection (advised), I assume it's not. -
Blah blah blah when I get home I will happily rerun them and shut you up.
P.s You still think your 2720QM is the only 8mb cache version on the planet>? Some people really are special -
Cant wait
Make sure all your tweaks are done please.
Oh did you just figure that there were 8mb 2720 cpu ? Well done ! You still amaze me because it wasn't shown in your provided link though.
Oh and I'm not dreaming, I think you are -
Post a CPU-z screenshot.

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Can I join the benchmark goodness as well?
Btw the latest update of vantage isn't supposed to kill physix gpu support to even the benchmark scores?
I recall using disable ppu/enable ppu settings with the same score, while vantage 1.0 had quite a boost with ppu enabled. -
-
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Anyway for the sake of our gentlemans here, ive tested with both PPU enabled and ppu disabled.
Heres the scores:
PPU ENABLED
PPU DISABLED
Note that beside the gpu clocks, which are 740/1920, theres ThrottleStop running AND core parking disabled. -
-
These CPU's are affected by heat and load so you might see lower results depending on your temperatures, I notice if my heating is on my clocks will drop to 2.6ghz at full load but if my room is cool it sticks around 3ghz. The idea is to benchmark at its coolest if you intend to get maximum results. -
Renew 3DMark....
-
That CPU score is higher than the best consumer Desktop CPU's:
-
hm interesting..seems like a beast 2860qm
Yiiddo where are your benchs btw? -
Where is your CPU-z showing your 8mb Cache?. -
Oh miss ur previous post, here it is:
-
yea, Selgot. There is no way that your CPU score is legit.

Woah you know you have too much reputation when there is not enough space even on your own website to fit it in
-
I wonder what the P stands for? Also, should I have a noticeable increase in score after my GPU/CPU "sets"? I ticked the box for aftermarket thermal paste... I assume if not for performance then perhaps life cycle increases with better cooling.
-
The "P" stands for "Performance".
-
LOL! If you have a laptop that can't even hit 20k stock, then it shouldn't be assocaited with "performance".
How's this 3DMark Vantage score?
