    Ahoy friends,

I'm sure I'm not alone in waiting for the 8800 card to arrive at my door in a week or two, for placement into my Clevo M570RU. (I didn't order the upgrade package, I'll plop the card in myself, and sleep-mode S3 be damned.)

I'm not a newbie to PC assembly or basic electronics, but I've never opened a halfway modern notebook machine (usually its a nightmare), nor am I on top of drivers for my current 8700 card.. let alone know what drivers are needed to support the 8800, and what order of operations.

I'm _betting_ I'm not alone... but maybe I am :) Can any of you wizards help out?

Questions: How to get at the GPU in the notebook? It might be covered in the user manual, I don't recall offhand. Even if it is -- any tips? Anything to be extra careful about? The last notebook I opened had the screen wiring exposed and very fragile, so if you opened it with any force you'd likely kill the display. So I worry...

What drivers needed? Do you install the drivers first, or after the GPU upgrade?

Any handy pics of the inside of the M570RU GPU area, so we know what to look for?

Folks have mentioned the 8800 uses a new heat dissipation system; is this tricy to install? removing the old one? Or is it attached to the card all nice and dandy? Fits into existing conduits okay?

Perhaps the card will come with installation instructions, but I doubt it :)
