I purchased a 9262 about two months ago. Man if your considering this pos dont!!!!! It's causing me to flunk a class because it's that leetsauce. I'm not kidding I sit down to write an essay and two minutes later the pc mysteriously launches Far Cry 2. I think Sager should really fix this ASAP!

It is not your PC that is launching Far Cry 2. But it is you, aware of the fact that this computer is too 'l33t' to be something as 'n00bish' as writing an essay. Psssshhhh! That's what Dell Inspirons are for. :D

Haha. This is when I wish I bought myself a TV for my room, a 360, and switched to console gaming. I find it much less addictive. Even Far Cry 2 for me would seem to suck me in less than the PC version.

I wish my computer didn't have Internet for this reason. Then again, that would be rather miserable.

15k but then again I am a noob at benchmarking. I stray away from it because if I were to keep up with good scores I would probably tailor my pc's around getting good 3dmark 06 scores. I am happy hearing that it is acceptable. I think I could push to 12.300 if I were to switch to XP 64 or vista 64 because the test doesn't read all of my ram. Unless I am mistaken and ram doesn't really make a diff. In the end very happy with this machine. But I will admit the fact that I can game on it is becoming a problem, that part was not a joke lol.

no way are you going to even get slightly close to 15k with single card..unless that single card has 2 gpus built on it. when pushed, it will run in the 12k range under vista and 13k under xp. i think ill try to push it to 16 in xp once i get my machine back. (speculation of course)

You have to keep in mind that the laptop video card is not as powerful as the desktop corresponding model. Compare to the desktop configuration you should expect about 3000 points less in 3Dmark06

Ya I knew that. I was just explaining why I came up with a ridiculous number. It kinda makes sense tho that I only get 12k because another card would probably boost it by 2-3k. I'm going to see who well my spider platform performs against my lappy. I have a 9850 and two 4870's so I'll probably get like 23k from what Ive been seeing. Nvm probably 20k or maybe 18, in real world performance I even think my lappy is a bit faster.

since 3dmark06 is very cpu dependent, you could probably overclock your cpu in the bios or using setfsb and probably get 1-2k more points. I know when i overclocked the cpu on my machine using setFSB my scores went from about 8800-9200 to ~10500, you should be able to do the same.

I say trade it in for a EEE PC from ASUS and all your problems will be solved, no Farcry 2 and the ****ed cramped keyboard will have you smashing it to pieces within minutes, problem solved.....sort of. ;)

i know about the pin mod, but i odnt want to risk it -i would prefer some software or BIOS way of doing it - if not then ill guess ill have to stick with it @ 2.4 x 4 :D

then that's about where ya gonna stay, because sager has no plans of unlocking that bios for any reason what so ever. and setfsb won't work either. i tried. if they came with a desktop cpu under 75 watt's might be considered im thinking, but 95 plus...ain't happening...*LOL*
