well like all of us know technology is a non stop next big thing business. The worst is when you buy right before new components are coming out and you wind up paying a lot more for something that is significanlty cheaper in two months.

Keeping that in mind( thanks to the forum, i have been convinced) and I want to buy a sager 5760, but would like to know if any significant components are due out in the next month or two that would drive the price of something down.

I would like to get the top hardware on the sager, so if something more powerful is coming out in the next month or two i would like to be informed. Thank you for any responses.

there probably wont be any new or significant parts that will be coming out in 1-2 months that you prompt you to wait... especially the cost difference for a new part... such as a harddrive or videocard.

We won't be seeing any more powerful Nvidia video cards from what I know, it doesn't get any better than a 512MB Go7950GTX for notebooks. And, we won't see faster processors until the debut of the Santa Rosa Centrino platform next year.

As far as hard drives go, there will be faster models next year (200GB 7200RPM in Q1 - Q2), but that is a while off.

What you see now is as good as it gets until mid way through next year. Might as well buy if you need a machine.

Yeah, i'd also say go and buy. Timing is perfect and the technology is up to date enough so it won't be outdated soon.

I'd also say that the only thing that would get better and faster are hard drive. Heck, Toshiba (was it Toshiba?) even announced a 300gb 4200RPM. But fortunately, it's a thing very easily replaceable :).
