I was playing Battlefield 3 and my Sager p150 can run it fine. i7 2630, 6990m, 8gb ram. I forgot to have my power cord plugged in so it was just running off the battery. Everything ran smooth, but when I did plug in the adapter it started hiccuping, skipping and whatnot. I restarted the game but still does the same thing with only the power cord plugged in. I tested it again without the power cord and everything still ran fine. Any idea what's going on?

Looks like your Power Options is out of whack, sometimes if you install new software it messes with your power options. I would suggest you check it out.

I'd agree with Chainspell. It's either a power setting, or you should try rebooting the machine completely while plugged in to see if that helps.
