So I got my sager NP9390 yesterday and I love it. I was using my samsung 840 pro in my previous laptop and planned to just put it in the sager and expected it to work. That didnt quite go to plan but it was my fault and the sager is perfect now. I didnt buy an operating system with it so I installed the windows 7 I had. I installed all the drivers and everything seems to be working fine.

I am just wondering how do I control the keyboard lights and such? Currently the keyboard is not lit up and neither is that light that is under the screen. I would like to have it so I have my keys lit up but not that light that is under the screen. I dont have a control panel or something to control the lights. Also is there a way I can disable to touchpad while I type? It really screws up my typing sometimes.

Besides that I really love this computer. I want to make it as good as I can so are there and bios mods or anything that I can use to unlock the full potential of this beast.

    Thanks

Make sure to install the hotkey drivers then use FN + / (above the 8 on keyboard)
To disable the keyboard you use FN + F1.

Don't forget to check out the latest firmware and software to get separate touchpad lighting control :)

Does the program start or do you select a colour and it just does not change?

There should be a little keyboard icon in the bottom right for the application, if it's not there you need to install it from your driver disk.

I see, @Hutsady In your earlier post you said about my 8 key so I thought you meant F9. I see the keys on how to control it now. I am able to open the thing where I can set the colors but my keyboard dosent actually light up. I know I have to use Fn and then those 4 keys off to the side but those keys dont work when I try. If I try to press Fn F6 for example it will work but Fn will not work with the keys for the keyboard.

Ah I should have said number pad instead of keyboard. Do you have any backlighting on the keyboard, even when you turn the computer on to start?

Well after shutting down my computer to install updates the function keys on the number pad do work now. Thing is the keyboard still does not light up. I have it set to "tempo" and the light under the screen is working and doing what it should. But the keyboard doesnt light up. When I did power on the keyboard was lighting up. So at least we know its probably only a driver issue.

I tried increasing the brightness, tried toggling it on and off and the only thing that responds is the light underneath the screen. Any ideas?

    EDIT:
No worries I guess the drivers were not installed right.
