So, my friend and I both bought the W150HRM last year.
And we have each already RMA'd our machines once. For me, the red ghosting problem. My friend, a DOA Nvidia GPU.
Fast forward to a few months ago, we both get our machines back.
My new screen is still defective and today, my friend's Nvidia GPU just died. Thank goodness these things are Optimus otherwise the thing wouldn't function period.
I must ask this entire board if you guys find this level of service acceptable. Why should my entire friendship be at risk because Sager has repeatedly proven that they they utterly suck at providing a good product. A nice warranty doesn't mean I have to use it twice within the first year for the same problem over and over again.
Maybe I did cheap out by not buying the NP8130, but that's not my fault. I wanted a computer that suited my needs.

I wouldnt call it cheaping out. You got a laptop that will suit your needs once you get it working properly. Why pay more for stuff you dont need..? The 5165 is a solid laptop.
You should've gone through a reseller though.. They stay in business because Sager sucks on their own.. -
I did go through Xotic as a reseller.
Hasn't made the experience any better.
If it was just my machine and the propensity of the 95% Gamut screens to be defective, I'd understand.
What I don't understand is why both my friend and I are being screwed. Myself even moreso, because he got the 5 year parts and labor warranty for free a month after me while I was stuck with the 3y parts, 1y labor. -
Oh, yikes.. That's unfortunate. I mean technically both could have been coincidences, but they could've at least checked your screen before they sent it back. His gpu problem was obviously remedied because it was DOA when you sent it in and worked for at least a while when he got it back..
What'd xotic have to say? -
Xotic and Sager know I won't be able to send my for a while because I am writing my thesis.
Not sure about my friend. -

to chime in I had a meh RMA experience.
My battery hinges were broken(not my fault), dvi outport faulty. They charged me 95$ for freaking broken battery hinges, though they did fix the dvi outport, and they put a new 560m which ocs better than my old one. Except it took TWO MONTHS to get my laptop back. And one of my usb ports died ;'( -
If Malibal or Mythlogic wants to step in, they are more than welcome to. -
I have no idea what the point of this thread is to be honest. -
^^ i was thinking that as well. I understand the original frustration, but they should be pointing the finger at xotic, not sager. Yeah, Sager's support sucks, but Xotic is supposed to take care of the hassle with sager, thats part of what you pay for when you order from a reseller.
If you mean step in and offer to sell you replacement parts, they won't do that. You have to contact them directly for that.. -
Question, does Mythlogic repair in house? I am looking to buy a p170em, and I am trying to decide between Mythlogic, Malibal and XoticPC, I was initially leaning heavily towards Xotic but now I think I might just pay the extra money if Mythlogic were to offer in-house/factory repair. Or if maybe Malibal would offer this, or at least any customer with Malibal's after purchase IE after 30 day experience.

Info should be at the reseller feedback thread, or questions like this could be asked through PM, which is what it is for..
Having these threads in addition to the reseller feedback threads is a bit tedious, and you guys are welcome to open a Sager feedback thread or so in the feedback lounge where it is more appropriate.
I guess I now have proof that Sager's RMA process is a complete scam
