Is what I decided on. I wasn't too worried about the HDD space or speed. And I didn't really care about whether I got teh 256 or 512 8600GT. I went with 1280x800 because of my current desktop monitor, which is 1680x1050 on a 22", and I checked some screens in store, didn't feel comfortable using that resolution on a smaller 15.4" monitor. I also went with Vista, because well at least I have it now. I have another XP Pro SP2 install I can use around here somewhere if I get tired of Vista, so yeah.
Now I've joined the waiting game with all of you guys.
Thanks for all your help Donald!

It could help to get another gig of RAM if I'm reading your specs correctly, as you only have one gig and Vista, which may be tricky.
Otherwise, congratulations! Welcome to the line. -
I am getting another GB of RAM, but I am putting it myself
Might buy a 2GB stick, either way it was just cheaper to add it myself
Thanks for the welcome to the wait -
One thing I loved about the Sager is that the RAM was so easy to access with both being under the same small panel, so I'm probably (definitely) going to upgrade within the next two years, as 4GB becomes the new 2GB as it was the new 1GB.

You know the wait will kill you...it's killing me slowly.

I wonder who's been waiting the longest? 33 days for me...
-
33 days? You really did pre-order it, and ended up getting the screen type that's on hold or whatever?
-
Popping ram in so so simple with this laptop, it makes me feel kind of good about myself. lol
-
Yeah - i've been 2 weeks away for a while now. I think the screen is the big delay.
-
Did most people order from powernotebooks.com? That's what it seems like.
-
Pretty sure a good chunk of people ordered from xoticPC.com as well.
-
I just ordered
