    Thermal Compound More Information

    -Stock OEM Thermal Compound

    - IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU ( + 40 )

Does it really make any difference which thermal compound i get? or is it just another way for the sellers to make more $?

If you want the exact RAM, contact your reseller. But it doesn't really matter what RAM you use. Any PC3 10600, 10660, or 10666 (all are DDR3 1333) will let you add more. You just need to get 2x 4GB sticks and install them in the 2 spare slots under the bottom panel. You don't have to have the exact models that came with the laptop, as long as you have the same speed and type, it's interchangeable. Even a slower speed would work, but it'd bring down the overall speed of *all* the RAM.

The IC Diamond compound is higher quality and can lower temps by a few degrees. You can buy it and apply it yourself if you'd like, but if you aren't comfortable doing that and still want the temp drop- that's why it's offered via the resellers as well.
