I am concidering this reseller because they give me the option of picking the SLACR-GO Q6600. I couldn't find any other resellers who would do that. I called some of the other resellers who sell sagers, and I was told they just offer what sager offers.

Avadirect gave me the option of picking the specific memory brand as well as the HD brands.

Some of their prices were high, but comparativly I'm paying about $130 more for this computer than the lowest price I've been able to locate. The build above from Ava costs $3214. I was able to find $3115ish on other sites with 100 gig hard drives.

I intend to overclock this computer as much as I can within reason, and so I want quality components.

One of my concerns is the OEM version of some of operating system. I would really like the CD with the computer. I guess this is how they are making even more money.

Avadirect is not so popular around here. However, people tend to go to XoticPC, PowerNotebooks, RJ Tech and sometimes Eurocom (from the read posts).

I called a couple of those companies and they're sager resellers which couldn't offer me the specific CPU or memory brand I wanted. I was told twice that they couldn't offer me anything that sager didn't offer. This suggests that sager is installing the parts and shipping the computer.

I havn't had any problems with Avadirect so far. I called and the sales guy gave me his number. Final price is $3204.62 including shipping, for the above without the anti virus software. I'm going to get different antivirus.

Build time is 10 days, I sort of expect that time estimate to be inflated a bit. Its longer than the other companies but Avadirect is giving me the specific parts I want. I'm filling out the credit card autho form now.

Did you mean "not so popular" as in "unpopular" or just as in "there isn't much posting regarding them here?"

Not a bad price though. I would how ever choose a BIGGER WARRANTY. You don`t want anything bad to happen to it after the 1 year warranty...since it`s a big investement, might as well cover it somehow.

yeah, Warranty. I'm an anti-insurance type person. I don't like my insecurities being preyed upon. If it breaks I'll just pay cash to have it fixed, and I'll probobly end up being even with the warranty, if it breaks twice well then I probobly bought the wrong product, shame on me.

    Otherwise, I'm ahead.
