If my 9262 came with two HDDs, which bays should they be in?

Yeah, I know that doesn't sound right. Allow me to clarify:

I ordered from XoticPC. I chose to only have two HDDs pre-installed. Which HDD bay(s) does XoticPC put them in? Are both in Primary, or is it Primary/Secondary? I'm installing my new 350GB HDD tonight, and I don't want to waste time removing the wrong HDD bay.

you can tell which bays right away by removing the main panel on the bottom.

there are two possible HDDs in the main panel, and an third HDD under the battery.

it only takes less than a minute to find out... no need to fret.

Thanks, I was just nervous about opening my baby up for the first time.

you have to be comfortable with your stuff... there is no void in warranty by opening it up and doing upgrades.

You might also contact Justin@xoticpc to ask if you can specify where the two hard drives should be installed (i.e., both in the 2-hdd compartment, or one in that compartment and the other under the battery).

If you do not intend to use RAID and you do not use the laptop on battery too often, then I would suggest you to put the second hdd under the battery. In my opinion they are too close too each other in the main bay and they will get too hot.

    I don't really have an option, since I'm installing a 3rd HDD.

In that case, don't put the two hottest-running drives in the main drive bay, put one in main, and one under the battery.
