Definately ssd but that being said... One ssd is gonna cost more than color callibration+ matte screen combined.. Heck u could even add in an extra 2 years warranty and it's still gonna cost lesser than a 512 gb ssd :)

Yeah, of course it'll be less than a 512gb, but you can get 120gb SSD's for pretty cheap these days. That's big enough for most people to put their OS and several applications/games on, and then put their media on a HDD. :)

Most people don't use SSD's for all their storage.

Wouldn't be easier to get the screen upgrade before getting the SSD? SSD's can be bought online or instore while screen upgrades usually have to be done by sending in notebooks in...

You can change the screen yourself, but it's easier to upgrade the ssd later. Personally I think it's always best to get the best base system (CPU, GPU, screen) then save for other upgrades. The ssd is nice, but the biggest difference is in boot/load times, once everything is running there isn't much difference. Also you can normally get an ssd cheaper elsewhere.

I guess I like glossy screens better anyway. :)

Yeah, it's a matter of taste, but I wish I'd got a matte screen. Will probably upgrade it anyway, they're pretty cheap on ebay.

Matte screen... if it costs less than 50$. SSD you can buy aftermarket.

Pimp out the screen to your spec. Everything else is secondary since it can pretty much be changed/upgraded later.
