I upgraded my PS3 hdd to 500 gb and decided to put the old 60 gb hdd in my Sager's secondary port for a quick 60 gb boost. The problem is that even though the 60 gb drive shows up in my Sager bios screen at startup (says its a 60 gb drive and all), the My Computer section of Windows 7 only shows my primary drive. I assume this is because the HDD is still in the ps3 system format. But where do I go to properly format this HDD for use with windows?

You need to re-format it. Right click "My Computer" on the desktop and select "Computer Management." Then you should see "disk management" on the left pane. From there, if you see your drive, you right click it and select "format." But note this will delete everything off it.

I did that but it doesn't show up in there...

Like I said, it only shows up in the Sager Bios.

EDIT: Actually it shows up below as a 55 gb unallocated drive. But i checked properties of it and no option to format it.

I tried the windows setup method and the disc 1 didn't show up inside it. I will try your second suggestion.

EDIT: Got the second method to work and now the drive is formatting, thanks for the help!
