Hi, so over the past few days I have been trying to install the new AMD 7970m drivers and to my disappointment I still haven't been able to get them working despite multiple windows reinstalls, Much of the problem that caused me to reinstall windows was probably due to the SSD cache I had set up with an mSATA SSD, I'm pretty sure that during my multiple recovery and system restores it loaded up the wrong files or something similar and caused my main hard drive to corrupt almost irretrievably and I had to install windows on that SSD (Thankfully it was just large enough) and then decorrupt the hard drive and install windows on that again instead due to some problems with the size of the SSD and windows.

Anyway, this is a warning from me to you guys, turn off rapid start or rapid storage caching before you fiddle with drivers, it caused me a hell of a lot of problems.

Also if anyone has any ideas on the installation of the new drivers that'd be helpful, mine still aren't working properly and I think i'll reinstall the stock drivers now.

Here's what I normally do with Nvidia drivers, but I figured it should be similar with AMD's.

    - Uninstall from Control Panel
    - Reboot into Safe Mode
    - Run Driver Sweeper and select entries related to the drivers, click Clean
    - Reboot
    - Install new drivers

Yeah that's pretty much what I do, I tried installing them with a clean win 7 install and it still doesnt work properly, so back to stock drivers until they get something more stable out I guess.
