So every now and then my wifi card stops working and I have to use the "Troubleshoot problems" windows option. That resets the wireless adapter and fixes the problem. It also tells me that an ethernet cable isnt connected properly or may be broken. I dont use a Ethernet Cable. well there is one connected to my laptop but its not connected to the router. This problem still persists if I remove the ethernet cable... Whats the problem? Drivers? how would I go about uninstalling ALL drivers and reinstalling them preferrably without the ProSET crap...

well the thing is it doesnt show up in the control panel with the other progs. only in the device manger. when I uninstall it there, it just comes back after a reboot. I think i might just keep it like this and see what happens. Does driver sweeper work in this case? Driver version in the device manager is 14.2.1.3, the newest one is 15.something, ist that the internal version that will show up in the device manager? also theoretically WiFi cannt be improved with driver updates can it?

edit: just reinstalled driver sweeper, there is nop option for intel drivers, only chipset...

Since it doesnt show up in the control panel the drivers could not be installed properly to begin with. Have you tried downloading and installed the more current drivers for the Intel link.

Try giving this utility a try. Be sure to select everything when you run it.

It's not a cure all, but it comes in handy. :)
