So every now and then my wifi card stops working and I have to use the "Troubleshoot problems" windows option. That resets the wireless adapter and fixes the problem. It also tells me that an ethernet cable isnt connected properly or may be broken. I dont use a Ethernet Cable. well there is one connected to my laptop but its not connected to the router. This problem still persists if I remove the ethernet cable... Whats the problem? Drivers? how would I go about uninstalling ALL drivers and reinstalling them preferrably without the ProSET crap...

To do a complete uninstall of the drivers get driversweeper and run it after you've uninstalled the drivers through the control panel. I'd try just updating the drivers first to see if that fixes the problem Support for the Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 and Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6200 products

well the thing is it doesnt show up in the control panel with the other progs. only in the device manger. when I uninstall it there, it just comes back after a reboot. I think i might just keep it like this and see what happens. Does driver sweeper work in this case? Driver version in the device manager is 14.2.1.3, the newest one is 15.something, ist that the internal version that will show up in the device manager? also theoretically WiFi cannt be improved with driver updates can it?
edit: just reinstalled driver sweeper, there is nop option for intel drivers, only chipset... -

Since it doesnt show up in the control panel the drivers could not be installed properly to begin with. Have you tried downloading and installed the more current drivers for the Intel link.

Yes I run the wizard and it didnt change anything, everything was up to date...

Instead of using the wizard just download the drivers manually https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22547&keyword=6300&lang=eng (assuming your on Windows 7)
Looks like theres been an update less then a month ago plus it has the option for drivers only without the ProSET so you can do that if you'd want. -
yes those are the ones I got (second one on the list). when you want to install them the wizard still pops up and tells me all the drivers are up to date. I havnt had the problem all day today, so i think i might be fine for now... Ill post if anything changes..

Try giving this utility a try. Be sure to select everything when you run it.
It's not a cure all, but it comes in handy. -
Thanks I'll try that if the problem persists
