    Hello there,

On the Eurocom Q6, all settings at stock (in the BIOS), running Intel XTU lights up both Thermal and Power throttling flags in both the benchmark and the stress test.

Based on your experience with XTU, what settings can be applied , such as undervolt thresholds, to overcome this limitation?

Note that on the Q6, Eurocom has implemented a so-called "unlocked BIOS" where all the options are available. I'm planning to apply recommended settings for this processor in the BIOS and not through XTU.

    Regards,

    Brainiarc7

    Is this an AMI Bios?
Look for something called CPU VR Settings and Core I/A Domain inside that.
Look for VR Current Limit. Change this to 200 amps. Pay attention to the divider shown on the right. Usually this requires a value of 800 on MSI laptops.

Is this Eurocom a MSI rebrand or something?
if it is, do yourself a big favor and set Core IA AC DC loadline to "1" while you're at it.

To disable POWER THROTTLING: Set IMON SLOPE to 50.
    Set IMON OFFSET to negative
Set imon offset to half of the maximum value MINUS 1.
(if max value is 63999, then you set it to 31999 negative (-).

It's a 45w hex core so it is expected. Undervolting and any access to turbo windows or lower limits are the way forward.
