I have the Mythlogic laptop that is down in my sig. I am overclocking my 3740QM using Intel Extreme Tuning. I increase all of my multipliers to max, but is that all I need to do. Do I need to increase any other setting like Turbo Boost Power Max, Turbo Boost Short Power Max, Turbo Boost Power Time Windows, or the Additional Turbo Voltage? Thanks for any info.

I'm wondering the same thing for my 3720qm. Bump.

Why not test it and see, to use the full +400mhz turbo you likely will need to give it some more TDP room.

    No voltage should be required.

I have 3720QM on P170EM. I use "Turbo Boost Power Max" 55 Watts and "Turbo Boost Short Power Max" 60 Watts. This seems to be enough for +400MHz turbo. CPU temps are acceptable on heavy gaming (80-85 C)

Hello there I tried to find a thread about xtu but couldn't find any. So if anyone could give me a light, I have messed with the multipliers (40, 39, 38, 38) the reference clock (102.5367), and that gave me a single core of 4.101Ghz, I notice also that my memory speed went to 1641MHz from stock 1600 is this normal? Now what is the turbo boost power max and short power max? And the turbo boost power time Window? Core current limit and additional turbo voltage? What should I set those too or how should I mess with it?
About the memory I have 12GB of the corsair vengeance dimms what can I do with them regarding its timings or else?

    Cheers

Have you guys tried overclocking via BCLK? Newest Prema's BIOS allows that in XTU.

You can, you get about up to 5%.

Remember raising the base clock overclocks EVERYTHING on the motberboard.
