About to order my NP8662, I can get 4GB of this memory for $85 more. Is it worth it, I'm not even 100% sure on what I'd want it for but it's a cheap supposed upgrade.

    Thanks.

its supposed to help you open larger programs faster like photoshop.
to be honnest ive had the 1gb card which was crap and the 2gb card which never worked and has now been ripped out. if maybe 10 seconds is going to make all the difference then get it but imo i wouldnt bother.

Also keep in mind the Turbo Memory can not be used in XP, only the newer OS's. Overall Turbo Memory will help some, not a drastic speed improvement.

I thought about getting the Turbo memory, but I am hoping and believing that having a solid state drive will speed things up a fair amount making Robson pretty much useless....I did a little poking around and I believe that the Robson stuff can also utilize most kinds of flash memory available to your computer (USB flash drives, etc...):

...not certain as I have not tried it, just based on what I have read...

With the latest drivers, its not too bad. I got the 4GB model, but I am thinking I would have rather gotten the 2GB model, which auto runs as Readyboost; something I can't do with the 4GB model.

I don't notice a HUGE difference, but I do notice a little. IMO, spend less and get the 2GB version, and upgrade your RAM, CPU, or HDD instead.
