    Hello folks,

    I recently reformatted.

I have sifted through a driver problem with my video card but I'm on my next one:

My wireless card (Intel Wireless 4965AGN) can't be found. I know the hardware is good, well, I'm confident, since it worked up until the reformat. Now the issue is that I can't locate the card on the Device Manager and when I try to install the drivers it can't find the device. That is to say, the device manager lists it with a yellow exclamation point. I am sure that the current wireless card is what I say it is. [Edit] I have it turned on (via Fn+F11) and the light confirms such. [Edit]

From my few days of research, I figured this would be the best place to ask. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you readers.

Which operating system are you using? On Windows 7, it installed my 4965AGN automatically.

    I'm using windows XP Professional.

Thanks Mutant. Unfortunatley, though, that was one of my first steps. When I try to install it lets me know that the "Device not Found."

    Try reseating the card?

I understand that all you did was reinstalling the OS, but no harm trying, no?

Well I suppose you're right, dtwn. But, I am a hardware noob, especially with laptops...

Somewhere on my google searches I stumbled upon someone who had the same issue. Someone replied with a broken link, something linuxfixes-or-other... I can't find the page anymore...

It's fairly simple for the D900C.

    Manual can be found here.

Remove battery, then following instructions on page 41 and 42.

If you're uncomfortable, no worries. ;)

My D901C was actually one of the first machines I really opened up, it's really much simpler than many other models.
