Recently I purchased an Intel X25-M 80gb SSD from Newegg.com for my Sager NP8660. Is there anything else I need to do to make this my NP8660 lift off?

    Thanks,

Just make sure the SATA options in the BIOS is set to ACHI mode, and you'll be mostly there. Use SATA driver that Windows 7 installs, or the latest Intel Rapid Storage Manager ones, to get TRIM. Some additional tweaks for use of SSD in conjunction with Windows 7 is SSD Tweaks and Optimizations in Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums
