It uses less energy than the stock WiFi, it has longer range, better latency understanding and is has a overall better reliability.

    And it has Bluetooth! :D

P.S. It also supports a hella lot of those WiFi options, Intel wireless display, vPro technology and such, read more about the 6235 card HERE :)

I'd go for the 6235, i wouldn't go up to the 6300 or Killer because while there may be negligible differences between all the cards, the 6235 has bluetooth and I'd trust intel wireless cards over any stock card/OEM card (unless the OEM is intel :p). That way, you get Intel reliability and expertise for the cheapest price.

Any of the other cards follow the law of diminishing returns

I find stock card is often Atheros, now Qualcomm since it's cheap, and I haven't been that happy with them, used maybe 4 of em now, all 4 meh.

And since Killer is Atheros/Qualcomm, I'll pass on it also. And also, I never had issues with gaming on WiFi.

Just stick with the 6235, and if the stock suits you fine, just use stock.

The stock one has bluetooth aswell. I don't need it though. Also, my wireless router is less than 5m away from my laptop so the lesser range the stock one provides shouldn't be a problem for me.

I might go with the intel anyway since it's just a $20 upgrade.

I agree, somehow the atheros cards just suck. Qualcomm doesn't have bad chips on their mobile SoCs (they're the only ones with LTE for the american market)

I'd go with the intel, if anything i'd trust their drivers over the other one. Although, I should've just reappropriated my 6200 from my Vaio Z
