Im interestered in the 2090 and i have a few questions foryou guys

    1. The all important battery life, what can i expect to get from this machine? More allong the lines of Web browsing and wirting papers on battery power, not gaming. Should i buy another Battery to carry as spare?

    2. Whats the difference between 32 and 64 bit Vista?

    3. Do these note books hold up well to Daily use?

    4. Does Seager have a good Customer service support?

    5. Is the GPU DX10??

    EDIT:

    6. Will all the functions of the note book work with windows XP?

    7.

    Thanks alot

    1. The all important battery life, what can i expect to get from this machine? More allong the lines of Web browsing and wirting papers on battery power, not gaming.

Without gaming on it, I think it can easily get 3+ hours.

    2. Whats the difference between 32 and 64 bit Vista?

64 bit Vista is better built for future software that will take advantage of it. Also 4 GB of RAM can be used up with 64 bit Vista, as opposed to 3GB with 32 Bit Vista. Right now most applications run a little better on 32 bit, a few are having some problems with 64 bit. (Or so I've heard).

    3. Do these note books hold up well to Daily use?

Definitely. Sager is based on Compal, which is the 2nd largest supplier of notebooks worldwide. They are known for their durability.

    4. Does Seager have a good Customer service support?

I'd recommend going through a reseller like Powernotebooks or Exoticpc. Donald of Powernotebooks posts here regularly as well as Justin of Exoticpc. Also if you have any problems, they are quick to help and very courteous.

    5. Is the GPU DX10??

    Yes, it is.

Wow I am definatly Impressed wih the 3 Hrs of battery life, I dont really care that the battery sticks out. So if i Am planning on keeping the 2 GB ram i should stick with 32 bit vista? Will Xp work with all the functions of this laptop?

XP will work with this laptop and for Vista I highly recommend a minimum of 2GB of RAM.

Yeah the buttons that weren't working were the USB button and one other one that slips my mind. I think they can be mapped to work with XP, but I am not positive.

They actually say 3.5 hours as long as you've got the 9 cell battery, and one of the users got 2 hours while gaming, so it doesn't seem that they are exaggerating.

I have an HP DV6500T with the extra cell battery and like the way it sticks out. Makes for a nice carrying handle. The only thing people don't like about the larger battery is the weight.

Yeah, the weight of the laptop with the 9 cell battery is like 6.80 lbs. I really don't find that heavy and with a laptop case/bookbag, carrying it around a college campus isn't difficult. I believe it only has 1 headphone jack, judging from this picture:

The green circle is the headphone jack and the red circle is for a microphone. From what I've read though, the Sager has a built in microphone.

Well very good. If i select the Bluetooth option, is the card internal? Like is there a WIFI switch on the side or a FN button combo to turn Bluetooth on/ off? I definatly like this laptop ... especially for the price

Glossy screens are in the WXGA and Matte screens are on the WSXGA. However, Glossy screens will eventually be made for WSXGA.

Will the WXGA ever have a matte display? I've been searching for a while now, but have never seen the question definitively answered. (And yes, I did use the search function.)

I'm pretty sure the bluetooth is internal without a switch, I don't know how you can turn it on/off.

The WiFi switch is located under the three lights at the left side of the front of the laptop; it's a small switch.

I bought a 2 gig ocz stick from frys for $85 with free shipping. I ordered it last Monday afternoon and even with the 4th holiday it was at my door on Friday. Links to their deals and other memory deals are in the forums here.

Edit- Looks like the deal I got is gone, but they have 2 gig of Patriot RAM for 99.99 with free shipping
