    Hey guys,

    having a weird problem:

I started my x7200 today and the screen stayed black. No BIOS beeps or other issues though. It boots up just fine, LED stripes are working fine, if I hook up an external screen it works fine. But in the Windows Settings the internal Screen does not show up anymore.

First I thought it might be because yesterday I hooked it via HDMI to a TV and set it to "Use only Screen 2", but now it won't even give me the option to go back/use my LCD anymore.

I recently switched my RAM sticks so I had to remove the LED lid & Keyboard, I suspect the LCD connection cable could have become loose. I would like to check that first! Unfortunately I couldn't find anything in the manual where the LCD cable is situated and what part of the Notebook to open.

I already tried flashing back the original vbios, but as I expected it didn't change anything. The card is fine, already fired up some BF3 and performance is unchanged. Just that my LCD is not detected :(

If someone knows how to check the LCD connection cable, help is much appreciated!

The video cable is seated to the back of the display, in between the LCD panel and the backing. Common disassembly procedure is to remove the front bezel/frame from the screen, then remove the screws holding the screen in place to access the video cable. If you need to reseat it at the motherboard, then you'll be required to remove the keyboard and top layer of the chassis to get to the connection on the board.

If it's not appearing in Device Manager, it's most likely either a bad connection or cable, or the screen itself is faulty. :(
