Just got my Np8662 delivered today, and when I turn it on it says Invalid System Disk.

I'm computer retarded, so I have no idea what this means.

    more explanation needed please.

first tell us your specification and where you bought it from.
does your computer turn on and once its booted up you enter the disc and then get this message.

actually as you only got it today i would just ring up your supplier and ask them.

Maybe you ordered one without an Operating System (Windows Vista\XP) pre installed without realising?

Either way, that error just tells you that Windows is not installed so you will need to install it. Contact your reseller for details.

Sometimes people already have the DVD, so they save a bit of money... how much "computer inexperienced" are you? You can download Windows 7 RC for free, but you will have to burn it into a DVD, then install it (which is really straight-forward), and then install all the drivers. Or you can send it back, and I guess whoever you bought it from will be happy to assist.

As others have suggested, you should download Windows 7 X64, burn it to a blank DVD, install it and if possible, during installation, connect to wifi so it can download any missing drivers. In the mean time, you can order an OS from your reseller.
