I need to buy a new laptop and Sager looks pretty nice. However, I am a little worried that you need to pay extra in order for them to actually text for dead pixels.
Do most of their PC's ship out with dead pixels or what?

Yes you do, I ordered an NP8150 without the 30 day no dead pixel and it arrived with a red dot in the upper middle of the screen...its as if you dont order the 30 day no dead pixel, they will send you one with a dead pixel...
-
^^Not true, I got a perfect screen without the 30 day pixel guarantee. Also, because it's red, that should be fixable. It's stuck, not dead.
And, if you have a dead/stuck pixel, you still have your 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee, anyway. Just use that as leverage to get a new perfect screen ("I'll keep returning my laptop until I get a perfect screen") -
I purchased sager np8150-s1 through xoticpc with 95% gamut matte screen with a 1920x1080 resolution and I received the laptop ten days ago. There was not a single dead or stuck pixels. Screen is amazing and perfect. I did not purchase the dead pixel warranty.

It's not necessary to purchase the no dead pixel guarantee in order to get a notebook without any bad pixels. In fact, we don't even offer the 30 Day No Dead Pixel Guarantee on our site, because we think it gives the false impression that there is an issue with dead pixels when there really isn't.
Also, in the rare case that you do receive a laptop with a stuck or dead pixel, you can always use the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, to exchange the laptop for a new one, which really wouldn't cost much more than buying the 30 Day Guarantee upfront. -
Oh look.
It's you again.

But if you do choose that standard dead pixel policy and you get a stuck/dead pixel you have to ship it back yourself for a refund. That alone costs almost $50.00 so you might as well spend $75-$100 for a 30 day no dead pixel guarnatee and save the time and annoyance of shipping back a laptop for a replacement. -
But, the chances of having to ship it back are low. Only like 1% of laptops will come with a dead pixel.
-
I think 1% is a little low, lol. I agree with nadizo. Might as well pay the extra to avoid any hassle. Not offering at all is a good idea, as long as the screens are top notch and don't have dead pixels.
-
as long the resellers test everything at least once, then there shouldn't really be a reason to need to dead pixel policy.

i buy my sager from powernotbooks without( No Dead Pixel Guarantee)
my screen is clear from any dead pixel

Thanks a lot for the information guys...really helps in making decision

I see a A+ Grade Panel With 45 Day Perfect Pixel Warranty option when looking at Malibal laptops
.

Sounds good, I'm ordering mine today...

PURCHASE THE 45 DAY WARRANTY
I purchased mine with it. The laptop was PERFECT. The little green dot appeared only after a week. Their RMA is in NY, and it would have cost me a fortune plus the hassle of shipping it back to them. Because I purchased the 45-day warranty, MALIBAL paid for the 3-day shipping back and forth.
Dead pixel warranty well worth it!! Just when you think you will not have it, you just might. Good thing I purchased the warranty!
I just dont know if the 45-day will "reset" once I get the new screen. Anyone?
Is 30-Day "No Dead Pixel Guarantee" necessary?
