Hey I was just playing sc2 (just got it and it's pretty cool) for about 2-3 hours and I had HWmonitor running. I noticed for 2 of the cores it said 75. Is that too hot? I know according to this post...

75 is near the danger zone. Should I be worried or is that temp ok for this laptop?

Just got extra info, the gpu got up to 77 and the HDD up to 44. Thanks guys.

75 is fine for the proc. Especially as there could be a 6-8deg swing on the individual cores because of how the chips are built. They are mobile processors they are designed with a little more heat care than their desktop brethren. All the temps you mentioned are perfectly acceptable.

Okay, thanks a lot. I figured that it was probably okay considering I just bought this thing around 2 months ago. My plan is to blow out the dust inside the machine around the 6 month point, or when I see a significant increase in temps while gaming. Thanks again man.

It is perfectly fine, and very good temps too, considering that SC2 is a CPU-intensive game as well.

You shouldn't worry, and you have a good grasp of how to maintain your laptop.

    Kudos. ;)
