Also, @ boukyaku - it seems that post you refer to was not written by a Malibal rep. That's something that's led to confusion as people who are not directly affiliated with the company seem to be saying or suggesting different things. For example, there are other posts in this forum that would suggest Malibal is a Sager reseller, but it wasn't MALIBAL or MALIBAL#2 who wrote that so it's hard to know what to believe. I think that's kind of the point of this particular thread - hoping for clarification from the company itself. And even though I reported having engaged in a PM conversation with MALIBAL in which he told me they are a builder, I guess the thing I'm learning is you all can't really know whether I'm telling the truth or just stirring up the pot nor can I know that of you. Kind of sad that my decision to purchase Clevo/Sager has resulted in some paranoia, but there you have it.

I joined this thread hoping I could get some official explanation to all the rumors the other resellers have been suggesting.
I've been around luckily for all the times the rumors have been posted and have seen the contents; Malibal is quick in redacting the rumors on the forums but never cared to explain otherwise.
As the end-consumer, why shouldn't we be curious? Malibal is a very hot company right now, but I've seen many rumors and they have all been pulled but still no explanation from Malibal.
I see that they are located in Las Vegas. Did Malibal machines actually get shipped from Nevada or California(Sager factory, Prostar factory) for those that ordered Malibal machines?

Exactly. Their silence on this matter is most worrisome. Makes it seem like they have something to hide. -

When my laptop was shipped to me, I got a free carrying case that was branded Eurocom. Also, I have heard it mentioned that they assemble all their machines and test them themselves. My guess would be that their supplier is Eurocom and that they assemble the machines at their location. Regardless of any of this, they are fast and their service is top notch.

Hello, let me start out by saying that we are not a reseller nor have we ever been a reseller. A reseller is a company who sells another company's branded products. For example, any online store who sells ASUS laptops is an ASUS Reseller. What this means is that the product quality, warranty and service will be dictated by ASUS and not the store (reseller) where the laptop was purchased.
We market and sell our own Global Brand of High-Performance Notebooks, which means that we also provide all of the warranty, customer service & technical support to our customers. Operating on a direct-to-customer model ensures that our customers will never have to be redirected to another company (as when purchasing from a reseller) in order to receive support or warranty service, which guarantees that every MALIBAL Customer will not only receive a great product but will also receive the same high quality support and service that our brand has consistently offered over the last 7 years. Please Note: In these 7 years, we have never received a single complaint with the BBB. This means that we have always delivered our products as advertised, have always adhered to and upheld the terms of our warranty and have always provided 5 Star Customer Service & Support.
Since 2004, we have offered the highest quality, custom notebooks in the world with customers ranging from Fortune 500 Companies to Major Film Studios to Large Governmental Agencies and in this time we have purchased barebone/systems from no less than 5 different suppliers and have partnered with many other companies, and yet our reputation for having great product quality and support has remained consistently high throughout this entire time. This is due primarily to the fact that we will only work with companies who are qualified to do a job that meets our standards.
About our QA: As many may know, we have a 100% Quality-Assurance Guarantee that is inspired by our pursuit of perfection. If, for any reason, a customer receives a MALIBAL Notebook that is not in perfect working order, we will overnight them a Brand New replacement notebook, at no additional cost. This QA Policy is a demonstration of our commitment to excellence. We are not in business simply to push boxes. This company was founded with the purpose of creating something great and of offering a product and service that is second to none and we are accomplishing this goal. Anyone who has ever purchased a MALIBAL Notebook is apart of something very special - and we are only just beginning.
Every year since our opening, our company has grown and in 2011 we have experienced an exponential growth, that at times - has been challenging to manage due to the large influx of new customers. Currently, we are in the middle of a major transition that will have us moving into a new facility here in Las Vegas that is 4.5X the size of our current location. We plan to complete the move and be fully operational at our new location by the end of January 2012.
In the meantime, due to high sales volumes, our laptops are currently being produced and shipped from our facility in NV and also by a partner who we oversee and manage in NY. Once the move into our new facility is complete, we expect to be shipping 100% of our notebooks from our new Las Vegas location.
I hope this clears up somethings and answers the OP's question. Thank you. -
