If yes, where are the drivers for it?

I can see the little plastic window on the front, but all I can find are Anandtech reviews mentioning its existence. I can't find any drivers, and neither can Windows update - heck, it's not even listed in the device manager, so I'm starting to question its existence after all.

Does anyone know if a) it does exist or not and b) if yes, how do I get it to work?

    Thanks! :)

I was wondering if that is what that is. I personally would doubt you can even use it. It isn't listed in the manual.

Thats a carryover from last years model which uses the same bottom-case parts.. There is nothing there, just the window. 2011 Models (HM) had IR there.

Well that's a bummer. Can it be installed? What part should I buy? And where? :)

Honestly pretty sure the connector that the other end would plug into on the motherboard is gone, so its not even about just getting the old HM series part, it won't have anything to hook to. If you could we would be more than happy to sell you the part but yea not quite possible :)
