I game with it at full speed where I believe rpms are around 3k cpu and 3.6k gpu. When it's managed automatically....~500-600 less. Temp differences at least in BF3 (what I play the most) is ~8° or so.

Is it bad? I suppose it increases wear...but if it dies really soon...I'll let you know! :D

They are made for it. Its easier and much cheaper to replace the fans then the graphics card.

Thats awesome, how much would it cost to replace the fan if they brake? Im going to start using the fn+1 on high end games that require high graphics...i was always afraif to use it because it was so loud and sounded like its not good for the laptop

I paid $70 roughly for 2 fans (gpu and cpu) from ebay.

I only use it if temps are crazy high. But so far everything less than 80C, why bother.

Maybe you should considered investing on a notebook cooler. That will significantly improve the airflow and keep your laptop cool, and it's cheaper too.

    OMG...

with 70$ I could buy all my brand new fans (like 6).

I bought 6 120mm fans for the PC and they are high-end fans (they are all high flow, very silent fans and have good price), and all of them cost me less than 70$.

How the hell can just that little two CRAP, NOISY Fans cost that much?

You bought them with the cooler included?

ps: U just scared me with that price. When I get mine, I will surely not run it on max. Already had to replace a few fans on a few things. Xbox console, nvidia graphic cards... They all died after years of use. I'm not willing to give 70$ for two bloody fans.

No I didn't get a heatsink or cooler, but that price was not from a reseller, it was from a guy parting out his system and it was including postage to Australia from USA (I should have mentioned this).

Probably would be much cheaper from a reseller.

Fans are designed to cool your Personal computer and are designed to run at various speeds and intervals. Will running the fans increase the wear and tear of the fan? sure absolutely.

Like xoticpc mentioned, they are a cheaper component and are easily replaceable in comparison to other components.
