Is it possible to put this AUO UHD panel inside a Clevo P67x model?

    Hi Guys,

I am about to buy a new Clevo laptop and since I will use it for graphics/photo editing ( too ) I need a really good display.

It comes with this one by default which is nice:

but I would really prefer this one ( primarily because of the colors ):

Is it technically possible to put the AUO panel inside a P67x Clevo?
Which reseller would You recommend who would most likely do this mod?

Yes, you're in luck; the P67x's feature the same 4-lane eDP connector used by the ZAN-capable P870DMG. That also applies to the P7xx models, but all do have a caveat; only when it has an eDP motherboard (not an original LVDS type).

The LG is only a 2-lane panel, so you will need the P870DMG cable as well. Brightness control may or may not need a mod to work.

You don't really need a reseller to swap a panel, but if you insist; whichever can supply the lcd. There aren't that many and Eurocom charges +$519.50 for this upgrade (so really $630, including the cost for the SPD1 you will not receive). Can also buy the B173ZAN01.0 for $240, cable for $35, sell the SPD1 for $75 and you save $430 over the Eurocom deal rip-off. Only tricky part is the cable; none available after-market atm. Could ask in the P870DM-G's owner's lounge if anyone's willing to request their reseller for a replacement cable, stating 'want to have a spare, just in case ...' as the reason.

@t456 Wow! This info is pure gold for me! Thank You very much! Indeed I looked around and found the AUO display for a price similar which You mentioned ( which includes the price of the actual replacement procedure :) ).
