    if i bricked mine ... i have to send it half way round the world to get it fixed

    and on the return trip ... i need to pay 7% gst ...

    If you are asking the question in your thread title, then you shouldn't "upgrade," and I'll leave it at that. In a few hours, there will be a bunch of other users yelling/laughing at you for the same reasons I am crashing your thread right now.

    well ... i am a newbie with these things ... and I asked just out of curiosity ... and coz if my system froze up ... it will cost me tons of $$$ and time to get it fixed ...

    maybe someone found a safe way to update the bios ???
