Hey, guys. Sorry if wrong to place such question. I've applied Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut to my CPU and GPU recently and was wondering if my health is safe. It looks very much like mercury which is extremely dangerous. The laptop sits 20 inches from my faces, and some users report that it dries out, so it got me worried.

As long as you don´t ingest it, or get in your eyes, it is fine....it is not mercury.

@AgentYura - it's definitely not Mercury and also not hazardous. Basically Galinstan, which is an alloy mainly composed of Gallium, Indium and Tin.

It is not mercury, as outlined already. Don't go taking a teaspoon of it with your vitamin regimen and you'll be fine. :vbwink:

Yes, don't eat it and avoid getting it into cuts. Wear gloves if you have broken skin.

The temps a CPU gets to are nowhere near hot enough to cause vapour to be released. The 'drying' is more than likely a reaction with the heatsink/IHS. Correct me if i'm wrong though.

The things you come into contact with, every single day, are far, far more toxic than LM. You walk next to a car, you get exposed to more cancer radiation exhaust than anything LM can do to you.

Excellent, you do need to be more worried about getting the applications n right and avoiding it getting out into the system which certain is bad for its health.
