I don't think many people here have experience with it. Its a Clevo though, so you can at least expect reliability. Just don't experience much performance from that model; the Radeon 4570 is only sufficient for casual gaming.

The 4570 is a great entry level card but not much beyond that. The biggest problem is it has a 64-bit bus. The second biggest problem is Clevo decided use the archaic DDR2 version instead of the DDR3 version. That's a difference of 600 MHz.

It will play games decently at low-med settings though probably not at max resolution. If you Youtube 4570 videos you will see what it can do for the most part, but most of those videos are on Dell's and they have the DDR3 version.

The combination of Core i7 CPUs and an entry level GPU doesn´t look very attractive to me

Sager NP7652 New 15 inch. Arrandale Chipset

I think this is the Lappy most were referring to in this thread and it's sister 17 inch model. Xotic just posted it a few days ago on their web site so you can take a look there. These units us the HM55 chipset and only the dedicated ATI HD 4570 GPU.

All CPU's are 35 Watt TDP units (including the on board Intel GPU). The TDP of the HD 4570 is between 12 and 20 watts.

For those looking for more battery life will have to wait until they come out with the HM57 or QS57 chipsets so you can toggle to the internal CPU intel graphic chip that is built into all of these cpu series.

Here are some links for your info.

Note that the Core-i7-620M will spank the I7 720QM on most applications. So this would be a good machine for someone that need it for work and yet can still play games. All for under 1000 USD.

The NP7652 you see is actually my signature and not part of my post.

Both have the same GPU and all I was doing was telling the OP what it was capable of.

I understand, I did link to the GPU, so that may help. Do you actually have the 7652 and if so, how do you like it?

I don't have it yet. They don't ship for another week or so. I'll be providing impressions when I get it though.

I am going to get the Clevo M770CUH from rjtech.com. They seem to be the only company that sells it in the US I think as a barebone notebook. I decided that the gpu is more than good enough for me. I do play games but mostly older ones and online ones too. I am going to get the I7 620m definitely with 4gb ram probably 1066 and 500 7200 harddrive. Seems like a good buy.

Good choice in components. If you ever need to speed it up, you can replace the HD with SSD. New improved SSD's will be released soon and prices will drop.
Then you can get a case for your HD and plug it into USB or e-sata port if so equipped. Good Luck!

Got it last friday. Has a intel core-i7 620m processor, Patriot 4GB 1333mhz memory, Seagate Momentus 7200rpm 500gb hard drive. Came without those components installed. Installed it myself. A full review to come soon.
