I have my laptop over 2-3 month and decided to load in a software for my laptop webcam, so I can talk to my friends.

The web cam is terrible then my cellphone camera. The webcam show my background look dark, but looking at me, the webcam make it look very dark. I never use a laptop webcam, but I never thought it would be that bad then a cellphone camera.

Am i only one having this issue and are there are any fix to the pitch darkness or should i just go buy a external webcam?

My webcam or software is a bisonCam,NBp Pro. Version 6.1.7601... driver date 6/21/2006

The webcam on these models is not spectacular. You will notice a huge improvement with an external clip on webcam.

Those cams r horrible. I thought it was broken at one point. I never saw color when i activate at night. It syncs with the dim background and fades all colors. It is not a big deal anyway.

The only good webcams(3MP) are installed on the D900F, X7200, and PW270M. Pretty much on their high-high-end machines which is disappointing. I think they should make an option to upgrade the webcam since most users will pay for the parts if they need it.

The good ones like Logitech series with Carl Zeiss lenses w/ and wo/ autofocusing cost only around $30~$50.

I would rather have a dedicated clip-on webcam that has killer 720p / 1080p quality than a 3MP internal webcam that will have superb qualities..

    Yes agreed.

It's even that often people use webcam's now a days.. but I guess that up to the individual.

i've got an 8130. I'd agree that it takes a lot of light to get a decent image from the webcam.
