    Hey guys

I was wondering if their are any video cards released or that are coming out in the near future that are better than the 580m?

I currently have the 580m on my NP8170 and was just curious if theres somthing better out? I was also wondering if I will be able to upgrade the card on my laptop and how much it will cost around?

I think the 580M 2GB card is extremely powerful but if theres a new card that can be twice as good I may consider upgrading..

Read some of the other threads in this forum for some discussion.

There will be newer, more powerful cards out this summer, but they won't offer anything near double the performance.

There is nothing right now that offers any real performance increase (more than a percent or two difference). There is always something coming though, so you just have to keep up with the new stuff. That said, new cards are also extremely expensive at the performance level you're looking at ($500-900 for the card by itself).
